Tys visit to Fidelity Investments last Thursday for International Women’s Day. The students really enjoyed it. They got an insight of the employees career paths to date and what their qualifications were. There was also a big focus on STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) and the career opportunities from it. This was followed by a great workshop of coding and html by two colleagues from Whiz kids where the students got the chance to create screensavers and games on scratch.ie. They also got lovely treats of cookies and smoothies. It was an excellent day out for the students that gave them a great insight of the working world. Thanks to Niamh Grealish from Junior Achievement in organising the visit and thanks to Mairin and Karen from Fidelity Investments who arranged the invitation and the events that took place on the day.
